Daly joins the firm’s Corporate, Start Up & Rapid Growth Enterprises (SURGE) and Mergers & Acquisitions groups while Landon joins the firm’s Business & Tax Planning, Trusts & Estates and Nonprofit & Tax Exempt Organizations groups.

“Fredrikson is known for delivering outstanding service to our clients and building connections,” said Bridget Penick, shareholder and Iowa office lead. "Bill and Jon are leaders in their respective fields with strong practices and experience. We are thrilled to welcome them to the team and broaden our service to our clients through continued cross-practice collaboration, innovative ideas, and exceptional client service."

With the addition of Daly and Landon, Fredrikson's Iowa presence increased to 48 attorneys and extends to the Eastern Iowa market. The firm was recently ranked fifth by size in the Des Moines Business Record 2025 Book of Lists, published in January. The firm's Iowa practice has grown exponentially since its physical presence was established in February 2014, employing more than 70 full time employees in total.

There, he served in numerous leadership roles, including Co-Chair of the Startup and Innovators group, Chair of the Securities and Equity Finance group and a member of the firm’s recruiting committee.

With this insight, he develops tailored, business-minded and tax-efficient solutions that support ongoing growth and success. Whether navigating complex transactions or optimizing tax strategies, Landon ensures that each client’s unique needs are met with effective and practical solutions. With extensive experience representing ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) companies, Landon helps businesses implement and manage ESOP structures that provide significant tax benefits while supporting employee ownership and long-term sustainability.
