Overview
A dirty hospital bathroom might result in a quality score that prevents physicians, SNFs, and therapists from receiving the payment they earned under Medicare’s Comprehensive Joint Replacement (CJR) program. Surprised? Value based payment comes with many shockers.
This webinar provided an overview of some of the issues already apparent in the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), CJR and other value and bundled payments. The focus was on the strategic considerations everyone in the health care industry must consider as reimbursement evolves from fee-for-service to other models and on important details that many commentators overlook.
