Overview
Internal reviews and external audits are an intrinsic part of health care. While a good internal review can lower an organization’s exposure, a bad one can make it easier for the government to use your own efforts against you. External audits can raise challenging questions like “the amount is small, if we pay it are we admitting wrongdoing?” and “why are they withholding our Medicare payments before our appeal deadline?” For an internal review, what must you do to benefit from attorney/client protection, and does it matter? How can you present the results in a way that will get attention without increasing your risk? Join us for our February Health Law Webinar, which will explore the most common questions and misconceptions about audits and reviews.
An on-demand recording of the program will be available after the live webcast. Past webcasts can be viewed for free on our Health Law Webinars page.
