Overview
Telemedicine is transforming the way in which health care is delivered and managed, with care no longer confined to a physician office or hospital. Patients, providers, and payors (including employers) are steadily increasing the amount of health care provided through “virtual visits,” remote monitoring and mHealth (mobile applications). However, this new delivery model is evolving within a legal environment that is largely designed for traditional, face-to-face office visits.
In this webinar, Ryan Johnson and Catherine London will discuss the key legal and regulatory issues associated with telemedicine and telehealth, including privacy and security of health information, reimbursement, patient consent, credentialing, licensure, corporate practice of medicine, prescriptive authority, and fraud and abuse.
