Overview
This webinar will cover recent updates affecting health record privacy and confidentiality. We will discuss the latest Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) regulations, which revise the “Part II” regulations governing confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse treatment records, recent HIPAA updates and guidance from OCR and the impact these developments have on electronic health records.
Accreditation
We have applied for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for this program in Iowa and Minnesota. Please contact Greta Larson at glarson@fredlaw.com if you are an attorney licensed in another state and would like information about obtaining CLE accreditation. We have also applied for Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) credits. Webinar participants will be notified of accreditation upon program approval of CLE and HCCA credits (typically three or four weeks following the webinar).
