Overview
Imaging, Therapy, Lab, DMEPOS, and ASCs play a core role in the delivery of health care. This session covered as many of the key regulatory and practical issues associated with providing them that we can discuss in an hour. We discussed issues related to orders, supervision, ownership (including Stark) and billing. While the session focused on physicians providing ancillaries, we also discussed issues associated with hospitals that either own physicians or enter into ancillary joint ventures with physicians.
Accreditation
We have applied for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for this program in Iowa and Minnesota. Please contact Greta Larson at glarson@fredlaw.com if you are an attorney licensed in another state and would like information about obtaining CLE accreditation. We have also applied for Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) credits. Webinar participants will be notified of accreditation upon program approval of CLE and HCCA credits (typically three or four weeks following the webinar).
