Shataia supports clients and attorneys in restructurings, both in and out of court.

Shataia works closely with individuals and businesses facing financial challenges, whether out of court restructurings or Chapter 11 reorganizations or sales or Chapter 7 liquidations. She helps clients gather the necessary documentation required evaluate alternatives and implement the desired path such as a Chapter 11 reorganization or Chapter 7 liquidation. She analyzes financial information such as personal and business financial statements, loan agreements, leases, appraisals, and individual and corporate tax returns. Shataia is familiar with Federal bankruptcy procedures as well the local bankruptcy rules for the District of Minnesota and District of North Dakota. She routinely prepares bankruptcy schedules and provides ongoing communications with clients regarding case updates during the duration of their bankruptcy case. She also provides debtors with judgment removal in state court.

Shataia provides support to various creditors by analyzing preference demands asserted by bankruptcy trustees and prepares and files proofs of claims throughout the United States.

In addition, Shataia is familiar with UCC filing and search requirements. She often assists clients and attorneys in obtaining, reviewing and summarizing lien searches as well as preparing and filing financing statements.
