Ryan S. Espere

Ryan is an associate in the Energy & Natural Resources Group who advises clients on structuring, negotiating, and executing renewable energy transactions, with a focus on project development and regulatory compliance. He supports clients across a range of technologies, including wind, solar, hydro, and biomass, and is actively developing experience in long-duration energy storage and innovative decarbonization projects.

Ryan provides practical, business-minded counsel throughout the early stages of project development, including site acquisition, contract negotiation, and foundational regulatory considerations. He brings valuable insight into environmental and legislative frameworks from his prior role as a Legislative Aide in the Wisconsin State Assembly, where he worked on clean water restoration efforts and PFAS regulatory policy.
