Fredrikson attorneys Terrence J. Fleming, David R. Marshall and Todd A. Fleming represents parties nationally in commercial fraud cases, including shareholder derivative and class actions, merger and acquisition litigation, SEC, FINRA and state regulatory proceedings, investor broker and law firm disputes, minority shareholder disputes and securities arbitrations. He has considerable experience representing receivers, trustees and victims of Ponzi schemes. Fleming has completed more than 100 jury and court trials, arbitrations and regulatory proceedings around the country. He was admitted as a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2005. Fleming has also worked as an arbitrator, mediator, expert witness, and as a member of, and counsel to, special litigation committees.
Marshall is a seasoned trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex business litigation, including class actions. He represents parties in cases involving contracts, business torts, banking, bankruptcy, shareholder rights, oil and gas, legal malpractice and administrative proceedings. Marshall is a shareholder and serves as Chair of the Banking & Financial Services Litigation Group and in-house litigation counsel to the firm. From 2006-2019, he served as Co-Chair of the Business Litigation Group. Marshall appears in state and federal courts throughout the country and has successfully tried many cases to verdict or award. Martindale Hubbell Law Directory has given David its highest (AV) rating. He is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for commercial litigation and banking and finance litigation. In 2020, Marshall was selected by Best Lawyers® as attorney of the year in Minneapolis for banking and finance litigation.
