Melodie Rose Named 2023 Notable Woman in Law

Fredrikson president Melodie R. Rose has been named a 2023 Notable Woman in Law by Twin Cities Business. Rose is honored among exemplary professionals who handle complex transactions and use their expertise to guide a variety of clients through obstacles. Honorees are also instrumental in serving as mentors, doing pro bono work that addresses social and economic causes, and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

Rose serves as outside general corporate and securities counsel to public and private companies at all stages of development. She has over 33 years of experience in corporate representation including securities regulation, corporate governance, equity and debt capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions and business planning.

Rose is chair of Fredrikson’s Public Companies & Capital Markets Group and co-chair of its Corporate Governance Group. Rose advises Fortune 500, mid-cap, small-cap and start-up companies in a broad range of industries as well as underwriters, placement agents, and venture firms. She is also active in the management at Fredrikson, having served on many firm committees, including her current service as a member of its elected Compensation Committee and chair of its Business Division. She was recently elected to serve as the firm’s president.  

Notable Women in Law are selected among nominated individuals identified as being instrumental in serving as mentors, doing pro bono work that addresses social and economic causes, and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Individuals cannot pay to be included, must have at least five years of experience in their field and have shown the ability to effect change in their roles or areas of practice.
