Firm president Melodie R. Rose has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel, an organization of leading corporate governance lawyers from the U.S. and Canada. Through its programs and other events, the College seeks to promote a high level of professional standards for those engaged in governance practice along with a better understanding and broader adoption of best governance practices.

Rose is the President of Fredrikson, recently appointed after years in firm leadership, including as a member of its Board of Directors and Compensation Committee and as co-chair of its Public Companies/Capital Markets Group and Corporate Governance Group. She has more than 34 years of experience in corporate representation including securities regulation, corporate governance, equity and debt capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business planning. Rose advises Fortune 500, mid-cap, small-cap and start-up companies in a broad range of industries as well as underwriters, placement agents and venture firms. She is active in the business and corporate governance communities, serving on the boards of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Minnesota Chapter and Minnesota Business Partnership, participating in Women Corporate Directors, Minnesota Chapter, and being an adjunct professor teaching Corporate Governance and a member of the Board of Governors at the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
