Fredrikson attorney and chair of the Immigration Group Loan T. Huynh has been recognized as a 2024 Diverse Leader in Law by Twin Cities Business (TCB). Huynh is one of nine legal professionals being recognized by TCB for their contributions beyond their legal practices, which includes pro bono work, a commitment to community service, professional mentorship, and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.

Huynh focuses on employment‑based immigration, corporate immigration compliance, and global mobility solutions for employers, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to mid‑size businesses, health systems, entrepreneurs/investors, and family‑owned farms, by developing practical immigration policy and strategies to meet their global mobility and immigration goals.

Huynh has a long history of advocating for diversity and inclusion, both within Fredrikson & Byron and across the community. In 2023, she was elected the Minneapolis-based firm’s first diverse woman board member. Long before that, she founded the firm’s diverse attorney resource group in 2010. Recognizing a gap locally, she co-founded the Women of Color in the Law forum in 2015, connecting diverse attorneys and numerous associations. Inspired by Huynh’s efforts, the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice nonprofit and Minnesota Women Lawyers developed programming for the forum. A child immigrant from Vietnam, “I was driven to be a lawyer to serve people who were like my parents,” Huynh says, “to ensure they were represented, had a voice, and the opportunity to make their lives in the U.S.”
