Fredrikson Trademark Attorneys Recognized in 2024 World Trademark Review 1000

Fredrikson shareholders, Cynthia A. Moyer, Laura L. Myers, Courtney A. H. Thompson, John Pickerill and Ann Dunn Wessberg have been named in the 2024 edition of the World Trademark Review 1000: The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals (WTR 1000) (registration required to view rankings). The publication recognizes the top 1000 trademark attorneys in the world and firms that are deemed outstanding in the trademark practice. Fredrikson is one of two Minnesota firms to receive gold band recognition.

Myers is known for her skilled litigation, ranked in trademark enforcement and the WTR 1000 commended her for “representing Comerica Bank as the personal representative of the estate of singer Prince Rogers Nelson, to protect against the registering of infringing trademarks.”

Pickerill, chair of the firm’s Advertising & Marketing Group, is known for having a depth of experience and significant branding acumen. The WTR 1000 praises him for his understanding of the realities of trademark prosecution and states, “as highlighted in a recent case where he protected the trade dress mark of the color teal for Hormel Foods Corporation.”

Thompson is highlighted by the WTR 1000 for managing a noteworthy docket of trademark registrations and applications for clients in several industries.

Wessberg earned a gold rating in Minnesota for prosecution. The WTR 1000 emphasized her trademark portfolio management, and noted, “she draws on prior in-house experience to expertly understand the trials and needs of her clientele, particularly in the manufacturing and retail industries.”
