The Advocates for Human Rights has awarded Fredrikson with a 2023 Law Firm Pro Bono Award for its long-term commitment to pro bono and for involving the entire firm in its pro bono efforts. The Advocates is specifically recognizing Fredrikson paralegals and other professionals working on immigration cases. Fredrikson will be recognized at the 2023 Human Rights Awards Dinner on June 15 at The Depot in Minneapolis.
“Fredrikson is thrilled and honored to be selected to receive the Law Firm Pro Bono Award at its 2023 Human Rights Awards Dinner. We are grateful for the opportunities to partner with The Advocates for Human Rights and human rights advocates around the world. It is a great privilege for us to be part of the work of the Advocates to protect the rights of migrants in the U.S. and around the world,” said shareholder Loan Huynh, chair of Fredrikson’s Immigration Group.
“We are grateful to Fredrikson’s entire team in its pro bono efforts and the creative approach attorneys, paralegals and staff make to expanding civil legal services to disadvantaged communities,” said The Advocates for Human Rights Executive Director Robin Phillips. “We recognize Fredrikson’s paralegals who have worked tirelessly to uphold the dignity, justice and peace of immigration clients affected by labor trafficking and persecution in their home countries. We greatly appreciate Fredrikson’s commitment and ability to navigate complex legal cases and defend the rights of survivors of human rights violations. We appreciate their incredible contributions to the human rights movement.”
