Fredrikson & Byron acted as legal counsel for Techne Corporation (NASDAQ:TECH), d/b/a Bio-Techne, a company engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of biotechnology products and clinical calibrators and controls, in its $10 million equity investment in CyVek, Inc. (CyVek), which Bio-Techne has agreed to acquire if certain future milestones are met. CyVek is a privately funded biotechnology company dedicated to the advancement of healthcare by empowering researchers and clinicians with a disruptive technology for performing multi-analyte immunoassays. The investment closed on April 4, 2014. Fredrikson’s legal team included Alexander Rosenstein, Andrew M. Nick, Amanda L. Welters and Lori P. Cobb.
