Attorney John H. Stout was recently elected a Fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel, an organization of leading corporate governance lawyers including prominent general counsel and respected academics from the U.S. and Canada.
“The College promotes high level professional standards among governance practitioners, and a better understanding and broader adoption of best governance practices,” said John F. Olson, Chair of the College.
“Fellows are elected following a rigorous selection process that considers the candidates’ professional accomplishments as well as their contributions to the field of governance through speaking, writing or other thought leadership activities,” added Frank M. Placenti, President of the College.
In August 2014, Stout completed a three-year term as Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section. In April 2014, he was appointed to the Governing Council of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.
