Fredrikson shareholder Clinton E. Cutler has received the 2024 Private Practice Lawyer Award by the Minnesota Justice Foundation (MJF). The MJF selected six awardees from a pool of outstanding candidates with strong commitments to pro bono, public interest and access to justice for all.
Cutler specializes in representing companies reorganizing or liquidating under the Bankruptcy Code or in or out of court workouts and liquidations. He is the former Chair of Fredrikson’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Workouts Group, practicing in the areas of debtor/creditor law, bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation. He represents debtors and creditors in all aspects of state law proceedings of debtor creditor law such as garnishment, attachment, receiverships, assignments for benefit of creditors, foreclosures, and claim and delivery. He also works with banks and other lenders on UCC issues and lender liability matters.
The MJF was founded in 1982 by University of Minnesota law students concerned about the decreasing availability of legal services for low-income Minnesotans. The MJF creates opportunities for law students to engage in public interest and pro bono legal service and increase the capacity of legal organizations that serve the public interest. The MJF’s awardees represent the values of a legal community that understands the importance of access to justice for all and strives to shrink the justice gap.
