Fredrikson attorney Asmah Tareen has joined the Concordia College Board of Regents. Each of the voting members is elected for a term of four years and subsequently may be re-elected for two additional full consecutive terms.

Tareen is a graduate of Concordia College and the University of Minnesota Law School. As a partner in Fredrikson’s Technology and Data Group, Tareen represents clients in the medical device, life sciences, software, IT, retail, renewable energy and agricultural industries. With over 20 years of experience, Tareen brings a practical and collaborative approach to helping entrepreneurs, start-ups and private and public companies accomplish their business goals through IP portfolio development and management, strategic transactions, licensing, development, collaboration, manufacturing, supply and distribution agreements. Tareen has served in various leadership roles at the firm, currently chairing the firm’s Recruiting and Hiring Committee, responsible for interviewing and hiring law students from across the country. She is actively engaged in her community and regularly mentors college students, law students and young attorneys. She is a founding member of the Organization for Medical, Educational and Economic Development (OMEED), a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that provides humanitarian relief and sustainable development work in Southeast Asia. In addition, she has taught various legal studies courses at Hamline University.
