Fredrikson senior government relations specialist Andy G. Pomroy has been inducted into the Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS) Justice Matters Alliance. SMRLS inducts remarkable people within the community into the Justice Matters Alliance who have made significant contributions to civil legal aid in Minnesota, and which makes a direct impact on the work that SMRLS is able to do.
Pomroy was recognized by the SMRLS at their Fall Appreciation Luncheon along with Fredrikson shareholder Kevin P. Goodno and senior government relations specialist Jeffrey D. Hayden for their outstanding contributions of civil legal aid allies and all they do to further the work of SMRLS in serving the people of southern Minnesota. Pomroy, Goodno and Hayden lobbied on behalf of SMRLS on the Judiciary Policy Bill. They helped pass the largest salary increase in Minnesota history for the Civil Legal Services Coalition. Raising starting salaries of Legal Aid attorneys helps to better compete in the market; and funding more staff and attorneys is changing the landscape for legal aid in recruitment and retention, which expands services for more eligible Minnesotans. The team worked to give SMRLS crucial resources needed to continue servicing their clients.
