Officers and Directors: What They Need to Know if Their Companies Slide Toward Insolvency

Overview

On April 19, 2016, Fredrikson presented a program on the current law governing the duties of officers and directors of insolvent companies, whether for profit, public or closely held, and non-profits. Fredrikson’s James L. Baillie, John H. Stout and Sarah M. Olson were joined by Mark Sheffert of Manchester Companies and John Ratelle of Marsh & McLennan Companies to discuss the general fiduciary duties of care and loyalty and then address how the directors and officers should respond if the company’s fortunes begin to erode.
