Overview
On June 16, 2020, Kenneth Levinson and Richard Weiner discussed that the COVID pandemic has created many changes in medical, business, social and work-at-home practices. It has also reminded law firms and accounting firms, in particular, how they need to continue to complement each other in these “novel” times. In this webinar, they discussed a number of situations in which international legal and tax matters arise that can be cooperatively addressed by these professionals for the benefit of our respective clients.
Objectives
- How and when COVID-19 related international contract and government regulatory disputes can arise.
- The legal impact of economic uncertainty on financing and labor matters.
- Tax traps lurking in state transactions by non-U.S. parties that are not covered by tax treaties.
- The benefits of bringing in legal resources early in this COVID-19 environment to protect clients and accountants under the attorney-client privilege.
