On June 8, 2017, Fredrikson was proud to host The Minnesota Management Attorneys Association. Guest speaker Jessica Looman, Deputy Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry, spoke on the current trends and issues affecting the Department of Labor & Industry. She explored the funding, reporting and alignment with the new Trump administration, federal preemption of state labor standards laws, issues of misclassification and joint employment liability at the state level and medical cannabis and workers compensation claims.
