Overview
While the Office for Civil Rights has allowed some temporary flexibility in light of COVID-19, HIPAA compliance remains vital for every health care organization. This webinar offered basic HIPAA training for a health care workforce. It may be used as a direct training session for employees or as a “train-the-trainer” session. The slides, live webinar and recording can be used for a covered entity’s own training program. We discussed the Privacy Rule, Security Rule and Breach Notification Rule.
Accreditation
Live webinar participants will receive an email upon program approval for Minnesota and Iowa Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) credits through the Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® (sometimes up to 3-4 weeks following the webinar).
